What does one do in the off season when contemplating how to win a
Street Mod National Championship in Topeka, KS next September? Well, you
try to determine how to get the most speed and torque you can. The
answer was a beautiful E46 motor out of a wrecked 2002 M3 on the east
coast. With rev ability to 8500 RPM (for now ;-) ), some good gearing
and you've got your winter project all figured out.

The new motor in all it's glory. Isn't it pretty?

The engine compartment after the E36 motor was removed.

Dropping in the E46 motor.

Looks like it's going to fit nicely.

Getting ready to hook it all up.

Here it is all hooked up. Notice the Tec3 in the upper right hand
corner. The cool
green intake is from Hoover at TurboHoses.com.

The next order of business was to take the car over to Tony Collicchio
at TCDesign
modify the stock US header to meet with current system.

Tony welding the header.

Next stop is the Dynojet at the Mustang Ranch.

Vic looking pretty pleased with himself. Job well done.

And now for the true test......an autocross!

It works and it's fun!
