Management SystemThe new TEC³ represents the latest advances in state-of-the-art fuel injection control integrated with the most powerful and accurate direct fire ignition system ever put into one performance package. The TEC³ is a PC programmable engine control system featuring an intuitive windows based platform with easy pull down menus and a new ‘Tuning Wizard’ that will have you up and running in no time. Converting from carburetion to fuel injection has never been easier than with the TEC³. Whether you choose to run throttle body injection, tuned port, multi-port, individual throttle bodies, whatever, just make your choice within the WinTEC software and the TEC³ unit will program you for more power. Street enthusiasts will enjoy the benefits of a ‘distributorless’ ignition system that not only is infinitely adjustable, accurate and powerful, but also gives you improved firewall clearance and freedom from all those ignition amplification boxes that you used to run in the past. Select an air/fuel ratio, adjust your ignition curves and you are cruising from sea level to the mountaintops. If you are running an aggressive profile camshaft, idle control has always proven to be problematic for fuel injection systems but not for the TEC³. Within the WinTEC software resides our exclusive ‘Idle Blend’ table. With a few clicks of the keyboard you will enjoy a much lower and manageable idle that other systems are envious of. If you make occasional trips to the track your TEC³ is easily adjustable for competition. When you’re done simply save your ‘hot’ tune(s), download your saved street tune and away you go. For competition and ultra high output engines, the sophistication and power of the TEC³ system simply out-performs other production and aftermarket systems. With full control of the engine over all possible operating conditions, outputs that will activate and/or control nitrous, boost, VTEC and other devises, new ‘Dual RPM limiters with ‘Triple Smooth’ technology, while the on board Data Acquisition logs your performance for your review, the TEC³ gives you Total Engine Control. The TEC³ Engine Control Unit The new TEC³ ECU incorporates the winning features of our previous TEC-2 system while adding an abundance of new features and a powerful new processing platform which melds its Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) control with its patented digital Direct Ignition System (DIS). The laser etched ECU with its waterproof OEM style connectors and harness may be mounted under the hood or in the engine compartment and will activate separate multi-coil DFU’s (Direct Fire Units) mounted adjacent to the engine.
